He graduated Iowa State University with a B.A. in Economics, and secured a position at the Chicago firm of Gambit & Pierce, where he stayed for 15 years. Following his passion for Florida, Joe recently relocated to the state to live his dream of helping Floridians with their mortgage rates. He was astounded by what he saw. Florida mortgage rates were astronomical, disgustingly so. Everywhere it seemed, people were going broke just paying for their home. This didn't sit right with Mr. Everett, whose own father went broke back in Iowa and ended up living in an abandoned gas station for three years. Good people shouldn't go broke, was Joe's motto. And this is the mantra he follows to this day.
